iCITY preferred bidder status for Olympic Press and Broadcast Centres

Specialist data centre operator Infinity today announces that its subsidiary, iCITY, has been selected as Preferred Bidder by the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) for the legacy uses of the Press and Broadcast Centres on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Through iCITY Infinity will create a world-class hub of innovation and enterprise to build upon the existing success of East London’s flourishing creative industries and stimulate UK economic growth. The iCITY project is a strategic development that moves Infinity SDC into a new sector and is a core milestone in the company’s rapid and continuing growth.

Underpinning the transformation of the Olympic facilities Infinity will operate a state-of-the-art data centre ranging from 250,000 to 350,000 square feet, with energy capacity of up to 90MW of power. This will be the UK’s most advanced and environmentally friendly data centre supporting London’s largest studios, innovation and research centres, a business incubator, and a hub for creative industries.
