InfinitySDC14 January 2015 Infinity SDC – the UK’s fastest growing data centre operator, is today announcing a 63% increase in profit and a 29% increase in revenue for 2013/14.

The announcement states that revenue has increased from £16.7m to £21.7m and adjusted EBITDA has increased from £4.8m to £7.8m.  The growth has been fuelled by a tripling of customers under contract.

According to CBRE[1], the results follow an upturn in outsourced data centre solutions translating into commercial transactions for the London market. CBRE stated that London recorded the highest level of take-up in Q3 2014, three times higher than the total for Q2. CBRE added, “The prospect of a sustainable rise in demand both for enterprises and cloud service providers continues to support investment into new data centre space”.

Infinity’s clients include two of the UK’s largest high street banks, the UK’s largest academic technology body and, two medical research institutes, as well as a growing number of cloud and managed services providers.

In September 2014, Infinity was ranked 22nd in the Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 moving it into the top quarter of UK tech companies. In December, Infinity was recognised for its innovative design at the Datacentre Dynamics EMEA awards, picking up the award for Innovation in the Mega Data Centre and the Data Centre Blueprints award alongside its customer Janet.

In 2014, Infinity secured a five year framework agreement with Janet, the UK’s national research and education network, provided by Jisc. The deal saw the creation of the Jisc data centre to support the requirements for academic research and is the first shared data centre for medical and academic research in the world.

The deal is based on Infinity’s Infinite Data Centre product which provides flexibility and agility to scale space and power requirements in line with IT workload.

“It has been a strong year for Infinity and the last quarter has been exceptional. We have seen fantastic growth in profit, revenue and clients; and I am immensely proud of the continued and sustained delivery by the Infinity Team. The public endorsement of our strategy and achievements through new customer wins and the recent industry awards demonstrate that Infinity is firmly headed in the right direction.  We are really looking forward to expanding the business further in 2015 and adding to our portfolio with the development of Infinity Stratford.”

Stuart Sutton, CEO of Infinity SDC

A lease agreement was agreed for the development of Here East in May 2014, creating a digital, technology and media centre within the former London 2012 Press and Broadcast centre.

At the heart of this development is Infinity Stratford, which will be one of the largest and most efficient data centres in Europe, featuring 260,000 sq ft gross internal area, fed by multiple power grids and providing 35MVA of power with exceptional resilience.
